Based in Kilkeel, Northern Ireland, Award winning multimedia design company, David Henderson Design provides excellent marketing and media services. From concept to completion, DHD will deliver the perfect solution for you.

David Henderson Design was established in September 2008 and has gained an impressive client base so far. Offering a one-stop-shop, DHD provides top quality logo development, graphic design, web design & development, motion graphics & animation and 3D visuals.

Whether you are a start up company hoping to get recognised within your industry or a well established business wanting to take a fresh look at the message you portray, DHD can deliver what you are looking for.

David Henderson

David Henderson: Creative Director

After gaining a First Class with Honors in Interactive Multimedia Design and winning the Interactive Design Prize with University of Ulster in May 2008, David continued with his passion for multimedia design. Whilst part-time freelancing in the summer of 2008, David looked into starting his own business and took the jump in September 2008. Away from the iMac, David will most likely be strumming a guitar, playing FIFA or pulling funny faces at Joel or Cara, his kids.

Melissa Henderson: Administrative Director

Melissa joined the team in January 2014 focusing on social media, marketing and admin. Melissa graduated from University of Ulster in 2009 with a degree in Criminology and Criminal Law. She has a strong interest in photography, travelling (and is also married to David!)

Megan
Megan

Megan: Lead Graphic Designer

Megan joined DHD in 2018 to work on branding, graphic design, animation, illustration and social media. She is always keen to learn new things and just wants to make everything ‘beautiful’. When she’s not designing, you’ll find her in the gym lifting weights, or cuddled up to a dog somewhere.

Glen: Junior Designer

Glen is currently on his placement from IXD Belfast to work on branding, graphic design, animation, illustration and social media. 

A brief timeline of DHD so far...

May 2008:

David is awarded the Interactive Design Prize for the project "The Best of Belfast" from the University of Ulster.

June 2008:

David is gains a First Class with Honors in Interactive Multimedia Design from the University of Ulster.

September 2008:

David Henderson Design becomes a new business, fully equipped with a new office.

March 2009:

David Henderson Design is recognised by Advantage NI and Invest Northern Ireland and is presented the Young Entrepreneurs Award for the Newry and Mourne area.

September 2009:

David is awarded the official EUROPRIX Quality Seal 2009, once again for the project, "The Best of Belfast".

August 2009 - December 2009:

David & Melissa travel around Thailand, Malaysia, Singapore, New Zealand & Australia, working with a number of design studios and meeting some amazing people!

August 2012:

David & Melissa travel to Boston with funding from Invest NI to meet Erik & Albert from Demo Flick.

September 2013:

Adam Beattie joins David Henderson Design as a Front end web developer, helping to manage the ever increasing work load.

January 2014:

DHD moves to a new office in Kilkeel, and Melissa joins the team as Digital Marketing Manager.

February 2015:

DHD successfully completes the ASPIRE programme, acknowledging economic growth and business development.

January 2016:

Paul Smith joins the DHD as full time Web Developer. Paul graduated from Interactive Multimedia Design in 2014.

March 2016:

DHD become the exclusive design partner for Wonka Lab, a startup factory, based in LA helping startups & developing from around the world.
